Chapter V 2017 Special Olympics Volunteers

During the first weekend of June several GWRRA members supported the 2017 Special Olympics bicycle venue at Joint Base Lewis/McChord (JBLM). Our task was to provide communications interface with the base station in the event an athlete had a mechanical breakdown or a medical emergency. We also provided race course safety by clearing the street of any debris and unwanted traffic. We were proud to provide this community service for these special individuals. Our motorcycles were visible while leading, trailing, or as “rovers” along with the athletes on the race course.

Chapter WA-V is a chapter within the world's largest single marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles. The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is a friendly group of people who enjoy motorcycling, socializing, and having a good time with other motorcycle enthusiasts through the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-political, nonreligious organization. Chapter WA-V serves the greater Auburn, Washington community and is a part of the GWRRA Washington District, Region I.

Joe & Patti Diambri - Chapter Directors

Once you join GWRRA, you may participate with as many chapters as you choose; you decide your own level of involvement. Wherever you go, wherever you travel, you're welcomed. A GWRRA membership opens doors to friendships everywhere you ride! There are no expectations, riding requirements, elections, politics, or required uniforms.

Membership in GWRRA is not limited to just Gold Wing and Valkyrie owners. Anyone may join and participate in any of our activities, regardless of the brand of motorcycle you ride. Our emphasis is on having fun, sharing knowledge, and stressing safety. If you're a motorcycle rider and want to meet and make new friends, we invite you to join us. Whether you are a new or seasoned rider, you will be welcomed to our Chapter. We’ll help you build/hone your riding skills through ongoing rider education.
